Paper cuts
The second post today, also comes from Japan. The Artist Noriko Ambe cuts through many layers of Paper to create these little landscapes. I like the calmness that comes from her work and some are like little landscapes made out of paper.

vase design
The last one is about german designer Anika Engelbrecht. She designed these funny vases. Simple and funny idea.

monsters

This nice monster is from the french Site les monstres du placard by Sandra B.. I like this simple but beautiful executed drawings. Sandra writes herself that this site is dedicated to simple scribbles without any pretention. I hope she keeps up the good work.
N.A.S.A.
Hey. I hope everybody had an nice Easter weekend. For my Part I had a great Weekend in Bremen. Now I'm back with new and fresh Graphic and Music for your ears and eyes.
My new discovery is the Project N.A.S.A from Dj Zegon and Squeak E. Clean who is the brother of movie maker Spike Jonze. They made some crazy stuff and worked with almost everybody who is important in the music business these days. My favorite is the track gifted with Likky Lee and Kayne West who is totally NOT GAY! (or a fish) ;) They worked with some awesome artists to realize their clips and they are really Mind blowing. So watch!

Objectuals
Korean Artist are pushing on the European market for Arts. If you were following the emergence of korean galleries, or galleries with korean artists,on Art Fairs the last two years, you could see a steep rise. With success.
One of these interesting artist is Hyngkooo Lee. The first time I read about him was because of his work “animatus”. He constructed different skeleton, who depicted famous comic characters like roadrunner. I loved this work because of the humor and the idea of fictional character becoming real.
One other work , is more serious and bizarre. His face and body distorting Helmet and Gauntlet called “objectuals”. With this he pursues the alienation of the body of oneself and the perception by strangers. This work is also interesting because so many korean people are going to the esthetic surgeon to correct their face.

World Crisis

How fitting is this piece? It was drawn by Christopher wool and the year of its making was 1988. The year of the Reagan crisis. I think this piece of art is, if not timeless, the at least, time repeating!
Chernobyl
Hey. Not so long ago i found this link about a Photoreportage in Chernobyl, from the guys village of Joy. The Pictures are great and they have absolutely this feeling of a postapocalyptic World.

Plain Sowjet Style

I just stumbled over this post on the wooster collective. It's really cool to remember the origins of Graffiti and street art. Thanks Erik
Slumdog
Yesterday we went to the cinema and watched Slumdog millionaire. It was a really good movie. The story tells the life from a kid who lives in the slum with his brother. It catches very nicely the incredibly fast pace in which India is developing. The camera work is fantastic and the music is fitting like a glove. It's worth to go into the cinema for this one.
